Europe: our first stop in Rome

Travel opens the mind to new ideas and new ways of seeing things.
And when we experience the wonders of this world, it can’t help but make a person happy.
And some travel opens the mind more than others.
For instance, if you take a tour of seven cities in seven days and stay in hotels,
you will find you are passing your time with others from your country and seeing the sights, but not experiencing the people and the way of life.

On the other hand, if you do some work travel or stay in private homes, you are more likely to experience the real flavor of the place.

Backpacking To Europe...
First Stop in ROMA!!!

Rome is one of the history's most powerful and important centers. It was the home of the emperor during the Roman Empire and the Italian government. It is the capital city of Italy and the country's largest and most populated municipality.
We were very excited. It was our first time to Europe and we were real busy before we started the trip so we didn't have actual plan for the whole 3 weeks. The only thing we know that we are going to Italy!! and here we did it...we got to Rome at night around 10 PM. The airport was very quite, every shop already closed. We looked for a train station for a while by using the customer service machine. (It was a customer service telephone and you can even see the person on another side...well it was my first time using that. Kinda interesting :D).

We finally got to the hostel safely (MJ Hostel). It's located close to Termini station. The service was also nice. Decorations on the wall were my favorite but walking up to the 4th F. with 2 huge bags was not so fun - -"
The thing I like about Rome is it's very easy to travel. All the interesting attractions are located in short distances. This trip to Rome we couldn't miss Colosseum, the Forum and the Patheon.
At the Colosseum, there were so many people. We decided to buy a group tour in English and that was so much faster than waiting in line.
Rome also has a significant place in Christianity and is the present day home of the Roman Catholic Church and the site of the Vatican City. Too bad we only have 2 days in Rome so we didn't get to see Vatican city. Going to Vatican city maybe you should spend a day there walking. Taking a bus from the city is not that far but we already booked a hostel in the next stop so we left after 2 nights in Rome to the next destination PISA!
