Next Stop is...Florence

จากปิซ่ามาฟลอเรนซ์แค่หนึ่งชั่วโมงกว่าๆ เราเดินทางถึงตอนบ่ายๆ แล้วก็เข้าเช็คอินที่ PLUS โฮสเทลที่ดีที่สุดในยุโรปก็ว่าได้ พนักเทคแคร์ดีมาก ราคาก็ไม่แพง มีฟิตเนส บาร์ ห้องอาหาร ครบทุกอย่าง โลเคชั่นก็ดี หาไม่ยาก อาจจะไกลจากสถานีรถไฟ แต่ก็ใกล้กัน สถานที่เที่ยว ทริปในปิซ่า เราได้เพื่อนเที่ยวเพิ่มอีกหนึ่งคน ชื่อเรียวโกะ เจอกันตั้งแต่อยู่โอซาก้าแล้ว เลยนัดเจอกันอีกที เพราะเค้าเรียนอยู่ที่โน่น

From Pisa to Florence is only one and a half hour by local train. We left Pisa at noon and checked in at PLUS hostel in Florence. PLUS is like the best hostel ever and I would recommend anyone who will travel to Europe to check for this hostel first. It's cheap, big, clean, and has all the facilities you need. The bad thing is it might be located far from train stations or the cities but if it's not too bad to walk further, just go for this one.

ฟลอเรนซ์เป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่เมืองหนึ่งเลยก็ว่าได้ มีศิลปะยุโรปให้ดูเยอะ มีที่ให้ช้อปปิ้งเครื่องหนัง

กระเป๋าหนังเต็มไปหมด บรรยากาศตอนเย็นก็ดี

มีที่ให้นั่งดูพระอาทิตย์ตกดิน ที่กินอาหารอร่อยๆ โชคดีตอนที่เราไป ได้ไปเจอคนญี่ปุ่นคนนึง

เป็นลุงที่ใจดีมากๆ เค้าวาดรูปอยู่บนถนนในเมืองตอนที่เราเดินผ่านพอดี

เข้าไปทักทาย จนเค้าแนะนำให้รู้จักเพื่อน แล้วก็ได้อาหารมือค่ำที่แสนอร่อยอีกหนึ่งมื้อ

ในสามเมืองนี้ก็คงจะประทับใจฟลอเรนซ์ที่สุดแล้วมั้ง

ทั้งผู้คนที่อัธยาศัยดีกว่าเมืองอื่น บรรยากาศโดยรวม แล้วก้ได้เจอคนดีๆในทริปด้วย

I think Florence is one of the very nice cities. The people are friendly and the city has all the arts, shopping, local markets and museums.

According to statistics produced by UNESCO, 60% of the world's most important works of art are located in Italy and approximately half of these are in Florence. That is why Florence is called the capital of arts. Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting, they lived here in Florence. Even the universal geniuses like Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo.

We met up with one of our Japanese friends here in Florence. We met her for the first time at the Italian consulate in Osaka. Couldn't believe that we would get to hang out in Italy after a few weeks later :) Anyway, we spent all day walking around and checking out some museums.

Going to Florence, The Accademy Gallery would be one of the places we have to go. It is the best known museum in Florence because it house famous sculptures by Michelangelo, including the DAVID.

Later on the day we also got to go to Palazzo Vecchio or known as old palace which is located in the middle of the area. In front of the palace, there are several important statues, including Perseus by Cellini and the Rape of the Sabine Women by Giambologna.

Another place is the Pitti Palace. It is famous for its garden, the Boboli garden. Visiting museums in Europe you have to make sure the opening days and hours. For Pitti Palace, it is closed on Monday and from Tue~Sun the opening hour is until 18.50.

Suggestion route: Take a walk through the heart of Florence...

Start from the Piazza del Duomo and the Campanile di Giotto, then move to Piazza Signoria, the Piazza of the Gallery of the Uffizi and walk all the way to Palazzo Pitti and cross the old bridge " Ponte Vecchio" and then San Miniato al Monte.
