Europe: Paris

Next stop is Paris!!

Paris is our last stop before we headed back to Milan again. We took a night train again from Germany and got to Paris early in the morning.
We were recommended by one of the people we met at the previous hostel to stay at Peace and Love hostel so we booked the room for 3 nights here in paris. The hostel was small but located in a good location, just a couple of minutes away from subway station. The bad thing is there is a pub on the first floor, if you want to hang out at night then this place will be fun for you but if you just want to sleep after a long day then it might not be good for you. There is also a rule that you have to be above 18 and under 35 to be able to stay at this hostel.

The first day we started right after we put our stuff in the hostel at 7 am and went directly to Versaille Palace, one of the world's grandest historical museums. It's only a half an hour away from the city. We used the eurail pass for the night train from Germany so on the next day we could also use it to go to Versaille.

From the station we bought a pass ticket to go to places in paris. It valid for 2 days and you can save a lot of time waiting in line when you go somewhere because there are special lines for those who hold this pass. It made things a lot easier cause once you get to Versaille, there are so many people and you don't even know which line you have to go but with this pass we were able to enter less than 5 minutes. You can find it from the tourist information counter at main train station.

There was an opening for a new movie so a lot of people were waiting for the actor.
I was also waiting for a while but gave up before those people...haha

In Paris, there are many places for you to go like The Arc de Triomphe where is the world's largest traffic roundabout and the meeting point of 12 avenues, Av des Champs-Élysées which links place de la Concorde with the Arc de Triomphe, Notre-Dame (the twins tower), churches, museums. Once you have the subway and local train map you can go everywhere but there will be a lot of walking for sure.

The best place ever in paris wold be Eifel. We spent a half a day to take pictures there and walking around. During the day it would be nice just to sit there and relax. At night you can go with some cheese, crackers and a bottle of wine and wait for the laser show around 10 PM at night from the tower.

Too bad we only had 3 days in paris. I think about 4-5 days would be nice. Belgium is also close to Paris if we had more time we could have gone to Belgium also...well, next trip then!
